There are two tiers for every crate, at two different price points:
Deadbeat Music Library guarantees Master and Publishing clearance for any and all samples of our music that are obtained legally, used appropriately according to the end-user license agreement, and that constitute a unique derivative of the DML content used. If your song will be distributed commercially or promotionally at a certain level (please see your EULA for details), you must contact DML immediately for proper sample clearance. DML promises in return to negotiate in good faith according to the size and manner of use of our samples with the involved parties in order to get your music out there. That's the end goal for us, helping you make dope shit that people can listen to, and you can make money off of.
For all sample clearance inquiries, please reach out to us using our contact form.
Absolutely not. Everything you hear is composed, played, recorded, organized, and polished by Deadbeat Music Library. You won't hear anyone else's pre-recorded material or sounds in our packs, ever.
Each crate has a very non-exhaustive list of the instruments used to create it, listed on the crate's respective page. But if you're curious about a specific sound, instrument, or recording process, holler at our contact form! We love to talk music.
Well, because of master bus processing. We try to keep master bus processing minimal, but there are times where it's needed. In those cases, we tend to bounce our stems without the final processing stage added. If you run a whole mix through a compressor, or a limiter, or anything really, that piece of equipment (or plugin) will act much differently that it would on a single, isolated stem. So, they may sound a tiny bit different isolated than in the full mix file, but in our opinion, it's the best way to do it.
Well, western music theory is hard and stupid, and most people in the world never had any western music theory training, so we pretty much write what's in our brains and try to figure out the correct key after the fact. Take a deep breath, take a walk, and start poking your keyboard until you find the right ones, you'll live.
We're not currently looking for additional composers, but you can always holler at us if you think that you'd be a good fit. We don't promise to write back, but we will if we can't live without you.
